Passion Scientific Refereed Journal for Human Studies is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the published scholarly record. The journal handles corrections, updates, and article retractions transparently whenever necessary.

1. Corrections

The journal may issue a formal Correction when an error is identified in a published article that does not materially affect the research findings or conclusions, such as certain typographical, language, or limited factual errors.

In such cases:

• A clear correction notice will be published explaining the nature of the error and the correction made.
• The correction notice will be linked to the original published article.
• The date of the correction will be clearly recorded.
• No substantive changes will be made to the scientific content of the article unless necessary to correct the identified error, and any significant changes will be clearly indicated.

2. Article Updates

Some published articles may require the addition of important information or clarification after publication.

In such cases:

• The journal may update an article when an update is necessary to maintain the accuracy of the scholarly record.
• It will be clearly indicated that the article has been updated after publication.
• The date of the update and the nature of the information or changes added will be recorded.
• The journal will, as far as practicable, preserve the transparency of the previous published record and will not conceal substantive changes made to the article.

3. Article Retraction

The journal may issue a Retraction when, after publication, a serious problem is identified that affects the reliability or integrity of the article or its publication.

Reasons for retraction may include, but are not limited to:

• Confirmed plagiarism or unauthorized use of the work of others.
• Major methodological or scientific errors that affect the validity of the findings or conclusions.
• Fabricated, falsified, or otherwise unreliable data or results.
• A significant undisclosed conflict of interest that could have affected the integrity of the research or the publication process.
• Other serious violations of research or publication ethics.

4. Retraction Procedures

When circumstances arise that may warrant retraction:

• The Editorial Board will investigate the matter and review the relevant evidence.
• The journal may request explanations from the authors or consult reviewers or appropriate specialists when necessary.
• The final decision will be made by the Editorial Board in accordance with principles of academic integrity and publication ethics.
• When a retraction is warranted, an official Retraction Notice will be published, clearly identifying the affected article and stating the reason for the retraction.
• The bibliographic record of the article will remain accessible and will clearly indicate that the article has been retracted, in order to preserve transparency and prevent confusion among researchers and readers.

5. Notification of Authors and Readers

The journal will notify the authors, whenever practicable, of decisions concerning corrections, updates, or retractions.

Correction notices, update information, and retraction notices will also be published on the journal’s website and linked to the relevant article, ensuring that the information is accessible to readers and researchers.

6. Research Integrity and Preservation of the Scholarly Record

This policy aims to:

• Protect the accuracy and integrity of the published scholarly record.
• Ensure transparency in handling errors and post-publication changes.
• Protect the rights of authors, readers, and researchers.
• Maintain the traceability and integrity of published articles and substantive changes made to them.

This policy should be read in conjunction with the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy, Plagiarism Policy, and other relevant journal policies.
