Passion Scientific Refereed Journal for Human Studies

Passion Scientific Refereed Journal for Human Studies welcomes the submission of original scholarly research that falls within the journal’s aims and scope, provided that the manuscript has not been previously published and is not simultaneously submitted for publication to another journal or publishing entity.

Authors are required to review and comply with the journal’s publication guidelines and applicable policies before submitting their manuscripts.

1. General Submission Requirements

Submitted manuscripts must meet the following requirements:

  • The manuscript must be original and previously unpublished.
  • The manuscript must not be simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere.
  • The subject of the research must fall within the Aims and Scope of the journal.
  • Authors must fully comply with academic integrity and research and publication ethics.
  • Authors must comply with the journal’s Plagiarism Policy.
  • The manuscript must be written in clear and academically appropriate language, and authors are responsible for ensuring linguistic accuracy before submission.
  • All sources and citations must be properly documented according to the APA style adopted by the journal.
  • The manuscript must comply with the journal’s approved manuscript template and formatting requirements.
  • Authors must comply with the journal’s policy on the use of artificial intelligence and automated tools and disclose such use when applicable.

2. Manuscript Requirements

Manuscripts must meet the following specifications:

  • File format: Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX).
  • Page size: A4.
  • Margins: 2 cm on all sides.
  • Arabic font: Traditional Arabic, size 16.
  • English font: Times New Roman, size 12.
  • Manuscript length: 18–25 pages, including references and appendices.
  • Arabic Abstract: Maximum 250 words.
  • English Abstract: Maximum 250 words.
  • Keywords: At least five keywords in Arabic and their corresponding English terms.
  • References and citations must follow the APA style adopted by the journal.

The structure of the manuscript may vary according to its discipline, methodology, and scholarly nature; however, it must be organized according to recognized academic principles and standards.

3. Author Information and Double-Blind Peer Review

Authors must submit one copy only of the manuscript, including the required author information in accordance with the journal’s approved manuscript template.

Before the manuscript is sent to reviewers, the editorial team will remove identifying information from the review version, including author names, affiliations, email addresses, and any other information that may reveal the author’s identity.

The journal therefore applies a Double-Blind Peer Review system, in which reviewers do not know the identities of the authors, and authors do not know the identities of the reviewers.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the submitted manuscript meets the journal’s requirements, while the editorial team is responsible for removing identifying information before the manuscript is sent to reviewers.

4. Manuscript Submission and Initial Payment

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s official Research Submission Form for Peer Review, with all required information completed and the requested files uploaded according to the instructions provided in the form.

The total publication fee for an accepted article is:

  • USD 100 for authors from outside Passion University.
  • USD 70 for faculty members of Passion University.

An initial payment of USD 20 is required upon manuscript submission. This payment constitutes part of the total publication fee and is not an additional fee.

Accordingly:

  • Authors from outside Passion University pay USD 20 upon submission and USD 80 after final acceptance.
  • Faculty members of Passion University pay USD 20 upon submission and USD 50 after final acceptance.

Payment of the initial installment does not guarantee acceptance of the manuscript and does not influence the scholarly or editorial decision in any way.

The peer-review process begins after the submission requirements have been completed, the initial payment has been made, and the manuscript has passed the initial screening in accordance with the journal’s policies.

5. Peer Review and Editorial Decision

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to determine whether they comply with the journal’s scope, submission requirements, and basic publication standards.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two qualified reviewers in accordance with the journal’s Double-Blind Peer Review system.

Based on the reviewers’ reports and the editorial evaluation, the possible decisions include:

  • Final acceptance.
  • Revision required.
  • Final rejection.

Authors are notified of the editorial decision in accordance with the journal’s established procedures.

The journal confirms that scholarly and editorial decisions are completely independent of financial considerations and that payment of the initial installment does not guarantee acceptance or influence the peer-review outcome.

6. Remaining Payment after Final Acceptance

Following final acceptance, the author is required to pay the remaining balance of the total publication fee according to the applicable author category:

  • USD 80 for authors from outside Passion University.
  • USD 50 for faculty members of Passion University.

The initial USD 20 payment is credited toward the total publication fee and is not added to the total amount.

The author is granted 14 days from the date of notification of final acceptance to pay the remaining balance.

If the remaining balance is not paid within this period, the journal will send the author a payment reminder specifying an additional period for completing the payment. If the payment is not made or the author does not respond within the additional period specified in the reminder notice, the journal may administratively cancel the acceptance and close the publication process for the article.

7. Initial Payment, Withdrawal, and Rejection

If a manuscript is rejected after manuscript processing, screening, or peer-review procedures have begun, the author is not required to pay the remaining balance of the publication fee.

However, the initial USD 20 payment is non-refundable once manuscript processing, screening, or peer-review procedures have begun, as it forms part of the total publication fee associated with the administrative, technical, and evaluation procedures undertaken for the manuscript.

Similarly, if the author withdraws the manuscript after processing, screening, or peer-review procedures have begun, the initial payment is non-refundable.

The author is not required to pay the remaining balance if a final acceptance decision has not been issued.

8. Editorial Processing and Publication

After completion of the acceptance procedures and payment of the remaining publication fee, where applicable, the manuscript proceeds to editorial and language processing, formatting and technical production, and preparation for online publication in accordance with the journal’s procedures.

Authors remain responsible for the scholarly and linguistic accuracy of their manuscripts, as well as the accuracy of all information and references, even after editorial and language review.

9. Compliance with Journal Policies

By submitting a manuscript, authors acknowledge that they have read and agree to comply with the relevant journal policies, including:

  • Peer Review Policy.
  • Plagiarism Policy.
  • Publication Ethics.
  • Artificial Intelligence and Automated Tools Policy.
  • Open Access Policy.
  • Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 License Policy.
  • Publication Fees & Payment Policy.
  • Language Policy.
  • Copyright and Licensing Policy.
  • Corrections and Retractions Policy, where applicable.

Authors also confirm that the information and data contained in the manuscript are accurate, that the manuscript is original, and that it has not been simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere.
